On 21 February 2026, Egypt issued a statement condemning statements made by the US Ambassador to Israel regarding allegations of Israeli entitlement to territories belonging to Arab states. Egypt considered such statements as a clear violation of the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

Furthermore, Egypt stresses its consistent position that Israel possesses no sovereignty over the Occupied Palestinian Territories or any other Arabic land. It also assured its firm rejection of attempt to annex the West Bank or to separate it from Gaza strip. Egypt further rejects the expansion of settlement activities in the Palestinian territories.

This position was further reiterated in a joint statement issued on 22 February 2026, by the foreign ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Indonesia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Pakistan, Türkiye, Iraq, Palestine, Kuwait, Lebanon, Syria, and Oman, together with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the League of Arab States, and the Gulf Cooperation Council, underscoring that remarks seeking to legitimize control over the lands of others undermine these objectives, fuel tensions, and constitute incitement.
